MESSAGE BOARDS: Results Of Intensive 10-Day Study And Future Plans
By Dr. Jerry Fields, Ph.D. and Debate
Tactician
Wednesday, August 17, 2005 2:37:34 PM CST
A 3-man team here at the L. F. Nexus,
working ten hours a day for ten days has just completed an exhaustive study of
over 1,000 message boards across the United States and globally. The focus was on “debate-style message
boards.” Here are their conclusions:
No debater is permitted to allow their
moral and ethical insights (called also “discernment,” “illumination,”
“revelation,” “special revelation,” “moral insight,” “discrimination,”
“perception,” “penetration,” “acumen,” etc., etc.) into (the character and
motives of) other debaters to intrude into any debate.
As a result of these findings, the L. F.
Nexus has disbanded the MBT Crew and will no longer study U.S. and global message boards. We ask that our subscribers no longer inform
us of what is being said on the message boards about the L. F. Nexus.
The resources formerly devoted to the
work of the MBT
Crew will now be devoted to the creation of an
“intelligent debate forum” here at the L. F. Nexus, where Christians can learn
at an accelerated pace by following “intelligent rules of debate.”
Everyone will be welcome, even our
critics. OF COURSE, EVERYONE WILL HAVE TO
ABIDE BY THE MORAL EXCLUSIONARY RULE, INCLUDING OUR CRITICS.
The timetable for “NEXDRUM,” the “Nexus
Debate Forum,” will depend on how much funds we have available to implement the
project.
Note that when the “MX Rule,” the Moral
Exclusionary Rule, is followed, debaters are persuaded more quickly about the
strength or weakness of their position.
Everyone will be allowed to express their
view BUT, AGAIN, they must follow the MX Rule, as well as other rules of
intelligent debating, which we shall set forth on an upcoming web page.
Finally, Dr. Bisconti is looking forward
to this project. He intends to
participate personally in the debates.
