THERE IS NO CRACK IN
THE FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH
For most Christians, there is NO
crack in the foundation of their faith.
Previously on three of our web pages we stated:
There is a problem with circumstantial
certainty. It leaves a minute crack in
the foundation of our faith. A minute
crack can eventually turn into a broad chasm.
Therefore, circumstantial certainty was not enough.
We have replaced those statements with:
There is a problem with circumstantial
certainty. It may leave a minute
crack in the foundation of the faith of one or more Christians. A minute crack can eventually turn into a
broad chasm. Therefore, circumstantial
certainty was not enough.
This revision is important. The statement that “…[Circumstantial
certainty] leaves a minute crack in the foundation of our faith” can lead the
less mature to think that they do not have a foundation for their faith. This would mean that they could not, and,
therefore, would not, count on what they believed. The fact is that only certain Christians are susceptible
to “…a minute crack in the foundation of…[their] faith.”
