HOW TO USE Advanced Bible Search IMPORTANT NOTE: The King James Bible is listed above in the dropdown menu as "King James Version #2." We are in the process of making this version the default Bible displayed in the menu.
If this is your
first time here ....
Look above. It's set to search for the following.
Words or phrase jesus king lord, in the King James Version Bible (change this to "King James Version #2," which is the actual King James Bible), throughout the NEW TESTAMENT, with
Ignore Case and Highlight and Ignore Word
order ON.
Click the "Search" button now to search for this or
change it to something else.
To Read the Bible

Select the Bible Translation under Choose a Bible.

Select the Book you want to read from under Book or Range.

Click Read.

You may select a chapter when the Chapter dropdown box is visible (click Read again).
To Search for Exact Phrase

Click the Exact Phrase radio button.

Select the Bible from Choose a Bible and the
Book/Range from Book or Range.

Type the exact phrase you are looking
for in the Type your text here box e.g. jesus king lord
Note:

This will do a case sensitive search. To do a
case insensitive search, click the Ignore case check box.

To highlight the phrase in the resulting text,
check the Highlight Results box.

The Chapter dropdown box
is
ignored in this mode.
To Search for Words or portions of Words

Click the Ignore Word Order radio
button.

Select the Bible form Choose a Bible and the
Book/Range from Book or Range.

Type the words you are looking for in
the Type your text here box separated by spaces e.g.
jesus king lord
Note:

This will do a case sensitive search. To do a
case insensitive search, click the Ignore case check box.

To highlight the words in the resulting text,
check the Highlight Results box.
